Growth Operations Sprint: Taking a Step Back
Our Growth Operations Sprint took service businesses from $10K weeks to over $60K weeks and generated over $100M in client revenue. Here's why we stepped back from it, and what it taught us.

Before Ariyel, there was the Growth Operations Sprint. It was our original offer, and it is the reason Ariyel exists. This post is a look back at what the sprint was, what it achieved, and why we decided to take a step back from it.
What the Growth Operations Sprint was
The idea was simple. We would work alongside a service business for 90 days, identify the three to five biggest bottlenecks holding it back, and fix them. Not a report of recommendations, not a strategy deck. We went into the business and did the work with the owner and their team until those constraints were gone.
We focused on bottlenecks because growth rarely stalls for a hundred reasons at once. It stalls because a handful of things are choking everything else. Find those, fix those, and the rest of the business can finally move.
What it achieved
The sprint worked. We took businesses from $10,000 weeks to over $60,000 weeks. Across the companies we worked with, the sprint helped generate over $100 million in client revenue.
It was a genuinely rewarding offer to run. Watching an owner go from buried in their business to finally seeing it grow, with the numbers to prove it, never got old.
The pattern we could not ignore
But the more sprints we ran, the clearer something became. The bottlenecks were not unique. Business after business, we found the same issues underneath:
- The owner could not see the business in numbers, so they could not tell what was really holding it back.
- The team was not working as one. Nobody was fully sure who was doing what, or when.
- Too much of the work was manual, so important follow-ups and updates kept slipping.
- Leads were leaking out of the pipeline because nobody was nurturing them properly.
- Fulfillment was not standardized, so every client was delivered a little differently.
- There was no training material, so every new hire took months to ramp.
Different industries, different owners, different offers. Same problems. And that meant we were building the same fixes over and over again, one business at a time.
Why we took a step back
Rebuilding the same solutions for every client was not the best use of what we had learned, for us or for the businesses we worked with. Each sprint started from scratch, and once the 90 days ended, keeping everything running depended on the team holding onto new habits on their own.
So we took a step back and asked a different question. Instead of fixing the same bottlenecks by hand for each business, what if we built the fixes once, properly, into a single system every business could run on?
What came next: Ariyel
That question became Ariyel, the operating system we built from everything the sprint taught us. It brings reporting, tasks, workflows and automations, lead sequences, the pipeline, standardized fulfillment, and team courses into one place, aimed squarely at the problems we kept finding.
And we kept the part of the sprint that mattered most: working with people. We build Ariyel out for each business, audit it every week, and work one-on-one with the team so the system actually gets used and stays up to date.
Looking back
The Growth Operations Sprint proved that fixing a service business's biggest bottlenecks changes everything. Ariyel is how we make those fixes last. Taking a step back from the sprint was not walking away from it. It was taking everything it taught us and building something that could help far more businesses at once.
If you are running a service business and recognize those bottlenecks in your own, learn more about Ariyel or book a demo.
